Barnaby acts like the farming community somehow exist in isolation from the rest of society except when there's a drought, then all of a sudden they become citizens in need.. The rest of the time they are above the law and beyond the scrutiny of both the Govt and it's regulatory departments and the Australian people who are co custodians of the environment.. They kick and scream against any form of investigation or analysis of their activities and they treat their property as some kind of exclusive sovereign country.. except when there is a drought, then they suddenly get marketed as the good gentle neighbour, who's fallen on bad times.. Isn't it amazing how they change when times are good..
