I probably fairly well agree with dex's first paragraph about the contrast between Gladys and maybe large-scale focused pork-barrelling.
However when there is to be huge adjustments in an economy, it is standard practice to have government funds available to help with the transition. And yes, the Nationals are fully entitled to argue the case for their electorates, and a lot of it will be subject to cabinet appraisal and some modification.
Fact of the matter is it is all become a bit of a Media Circus and pushed way too quickly by the media to fit in with the Glasgow timetable ....and the Nationals probably have not finalized a lot ot of stuff themselves!
Like a lot of things, rushed policy is not good policy, so I mean the job keeper and Jobseeker are a recent classic example! There will be ramifications for some industries that no one would have even thought of I am sure.
