I think Barnaby's decisions re his private life are his business. I never attacked Gillard for being childless or unmarried to her hairdresser partner. Yet I would be identfiable as a right thinker.
Hence I don't fit the box you tend to want to put someone like me into.
Name calling and labelling others as belonging to boxes with particular labels seriously ignores the complexity of people's individuality. Such extreme generalisations as left and right simply reduces debate to the equivalence of childish name calling used by young children. I find it absurd.
