Colin Barnett, originally elected after a W.A. govt hung Parliament, has decided to compulsory aquire a 2500 hectare area from indigenous owners, calling the area "unremarkable". At James Price Point in the Kimberley of WA, he aquired the land for a large LNG company to build a gas plant and export Port. After growing tired of the consultation process, he called a halt to negotiations and took the land. Mr Barnett shows an arrogance and ignorance of the dinosaur minded Liberal Govt he heads. He will be suitably punished at the next election, as I believe anyone who would vote for a man who has such disregard for due process and traditional rights, would not make the same mistake twice after this, lest be viewed a fool!.
