That barossa3 news is old news as is Santos' public spin for barossa to go to Darwin LNG and not ts - this is why Santos sold es to ts. Skg and south Korea are keen for gas and will not put up with Darwin LNG back feed let alone the pipe dream, pardon the pun, of building a pipeline plus an Darwin LNG expansion. any such pipeline would have to go way round Bathurst island which adds a lot of kilometres to that pipeline. Australia would have the highest capex costs in the world right now which points all (short) pipelines towards ts.
Quarterly due out next week - meo was scheduled to meet with es JV paRTNERS THIS MONTH plus update on eni $5m spend on Blackwood development studies. imho we may have to wait for shell to off load es to end before we hear of eni grand plan re ts. why didn't end just walk away from Blackwood...
