I went to bed (live in SWitzerland) before this announcement came out.
ALD is a KEEPER and I didn't have any sell orders so my holding in ALD and AGLD are intact.
Perhaps, this outstanding announcement caught some investors by surprise and they were unable to cancel their sell orders before the trading halt was lifted.
If Barrick are prepared to pay 85c for just under 5% of the company (EXCLUDING the crown jewels - Simberi Gold Project) then the professional / institutional investment community may finally wake from their ignorance and see the immediate under-valued potential in the share price.
Congradulations to Mark C - he has delivered a great benefit to ALD / AGLD shareholders through this deal
