I agree Labor needs to be seen to be independant from the Greens. I think they have started working on that with their new asylum seeker policy which the Greens have condemned. I also think that policy will work well at reducing the number of boats and that will take the heat from the coalition off Labor later this year when this new system kicks in. I also think the carbon tax will be defeated in the House of Reps by the Independants which will get Labor off the hook there as nobody except the Greens wants it. I notice that no mention was made of carbon tax in the recent federal budgets foward estimates. Dave R.
