Also keep an eye on their investment in Sion Power https://catalysts.basf.com/products-and-industries/battery-materials/next-generation-battery-systems
They are developing a pouch battery with 500W/kg with a lithium anode.
Also keep an eye on Sion power/BASF patents https://patents.justia.com/assignee/sion-power-corporation. Particularly around "protective layers" presumably to deal with lithium anode dendrites
