Another factor would be the different country/political risks. The countries in which SYR has assets (Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia etc) would have a much lower risk profile than Madagascar.

Having said that, one must also acknowledge that SYR is further along in proving up its assets while MGY has just begun the process and at the moment expectations have little dollar value.
