Less so the dissertation on beer.
As a refreshing drink on a hot day to slake a parched throat, Heineken is fine, as is Bud Light or icy soda water.
As a quaff it's hard to beat VB or Tooheys Red - but then Aussies are turning to craft beers in droves.
