doctors especially specialists, are glorified
drug dealers.

a case in point -

my son has been extremely ill over the last year or so. after having his sister push the doc for results, after having a friend, nurse of the year at charlie gardner, push to have an appointment set up with the head neurologist in perth, after having my son go through a seizure in front of a doctor at fremantle after having my son go thro a scan which proved negative i had to demand my son go thro an mri. ok they said but in the meantime we'll increase his drugs - which did nothing. appointment for that was about 6 months away. no one could find anything wrong so they just changed and increased the dosages at least 6 times.

managed to bring forward his mri and finally the reason for all of the trouble - brain damage from birth it seems.

now he is on the most potent dose anyone has ever seen.

the bloody doctor then at least said sorry. little comfort.

an 18 year old in the prime of his life and all they could do was increase his drugs.

if they performed the mri in the first place a lot of pain and misery would have been avoided
