The only thing I remember about Batchelor is using the airstrip for short landing and takeoff practice many years ago.
It seems that you have opted for Arafura over Compass these days. It would be interesting to hear why you switched camps if you feel inclined to elaborate.
Sorry I can't join you for a beer but I am in Perth these days. I need to stay close to my colo rectal surgeon - working where the sun don't shine. My bouts of uncontrollable flatulence are less frequent but I need to be ever careful of the inevitable follow through.
