My 2 bobs worth..... I totally agree with your sentiment, total waste of space....BUT, and I think of it as quite a big BUT. I dont live in the house on my own. The other view point is my missus. She loves a bath. Unfortunately for her, I designed the house..... therefore, the best I could summons for a bath was a 3/4 size. Now she is 5'11"...... and plenty of her body can hang over the ends lol. She is so keen on it, she puts up with it, but not as often as she would with a larger one.
My point being...... I would not put in a bath unless you have the money and space for a full on fairdinkum doozey bath....else it wont really be used anyway.
