I too have spent a lot of time sideways in a Commodore when I was racing one...I also did plenty of laps out at Qld Raceway in the first series of V8 "Brutes", they were always reasonably forgiving imo, though tended to understeer when turned in under speed so a quick stomp on the brake pedal was always necessary to force them to turn...
