I'm an amateur trying my luck too, but believe a line wipe at 17c basically means someone dumped a sell order into the market that is larger than the buyer support at 17c, causing all standing buy orders at 17c to be fulfilled, effectively lowering the share price a notch.
It goes the other way too.
