Most people have no comprehension of the scale of industrial electrical consumption. Australia is the worlds biggest producer of bauxite and alumina. Some of it is then smelted into aluminium in Australia at Gladstone, Newcastle and Geelong. Those smelters consume huge amounts of electricity. So in future its proposed that when the wind doesn't blow they will be powered at night, for weeks, by giant batteries?

You are wasting your time @bacci . None of the global boiling crazies that post on here have any idea of just how much ruinable generation and storage will be required to satisfy the NEM requirements. They are just plain dumb.
