The battery storage market won't boom until they can provide their goods at a lower price point. Generalising a little but right now a 10 year ROI on a product with around 8 year lifespan is not that practical for the domestic market. While thats currently shifting in the right direction it still has a way to go. Until that point the power storage market will remain a niche application.
