It would seem from your research - Fortescue Energy FY23 EBITDA - loss (US$617m) that "selling highly sought after technology" is (at least at this point of time) an expensive loss making exercise. However, because my understanding of battery management systems and battery algorithms is zero, I am not qualified to have an opinion on the future economic viability of the new technology. Suffice to say, let's hope these side ventures do not drain too much profit from the iron ore business.
My confidence in A.F. to admit his mistakes and change direction was recently enhanced by the news that Turncoat Turnbull has been dumped.
