If they have NOTHING unequivocally substantial to report they WILL leave it until the quarterly to announce (with all the spin they can muster) that there is still hope.
If they have SOMETHING unequivocally substantial to report they WILL LIKELY do so before the quarterly (once again with all the spin they can muster).
Thus as an investor I am hoping for a battery update within the next three weeks, else I will be very nervous about the (compulsory) quarterly update.
