    Afternoon all,
Hard to imagine that on this day in 1942 the Battle of the Coral Sea, which turned out to be a turning point in the Pacific War, was well & truly underway.
It was fought over several days, May 4th ~ 10th, with great loss of life for the Americans and our boys.
Thank you Uncle Sam for getting directly involved in hostilities, albeit as a result of that "Day of Infamy" on December 7th, 1941.
Had the Americans not entered the war I've no doubt we'd be under Hirohito's successors as I type.
God Bless America and all that she stands for.
Apart from the odd hiccup, she has been a beacon of hope to those in trouble.

"Here's to us, and people like us.....'cause there aint to goddamn many of us left".

Anyhow, it's something for the transient opportunists that take refuge in both Australia and the USA to think about. Sooner or later you'll be called to account and then we'll see your true colours struck.....I'm betting something along the lines of that famous flag of convenience belonging to Panama, amongst many.
    Cheers and Beers,
    Carl.
