    Hi Loop,
I'm impressed with your ability to find silver linings, but I think the words "dealt with accordingly" are probably a tad premature.
The whole epa thing is becoming more and more confused.
I'd agree with company, that a 2 year review for a 6 month mining project, is extreme.
At first reading of events, I thought that the epa might be looking at the overall situation across the whole Darling Scarp, then changed my mind.
Now i'm beginning to wonder if that isn't the epa's intent.
Appeal will take a while, but hopefully the suspension, stays in place until both parties clarify the confusion that I at least, am having.
At least some indication of when the appeal will be lodged, and what timescales are involved in this process.

1.2 million tons a small amount, will be interesting to hear from company where else they are planning to get the rest of their projected production.
Maybe, rather than waste time and legal fees on this small amount, they might be better putting together a comprehensive plan of their expected future mining areas, and getting approvals in place.
Not that getting approvals are ever a certainty.
