Malcolm, the reason why the ORD share price doubled in a couple of days to $1 was that in Nov 2006 they announced that:
“Ord River Resources has potentially made one of the most significant discoveries in Australian copper mining history, due to the very high grade of the copper involved. The deposits in the East Kimberley area of Western Australia. Rock chip samples taken from various locations at the tenement contain percentages up to 42.5% copper.”
The exciting thing for us ORD holders today, is that in the MD’s statement released today, he states “we want to explore and develop Copper Flats as soon as possible”. This is the same copper mine where the high grade copper was found in 2006. I am looking forward to some more 40%+ copper results soon.
