Thank you Jackpot for your insights, but have a feeling most of us read that bit in the presentation.
Really trying put a bit of meat on a very bare bone, thrown to us by said presentation.

    Banks,
    Not dumb questions at all.
Local power not sufficient, but plenty of hydro resources nearby.
    But none built.
The Mekong and its basin[and dam building], is supposed to be subject to overview by a commission made up of the Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.
Takes a while, fighting about the latest proposal,Xayaburi, in northern Laos , at the moment.

    SSkim,
Bobthebuilder earlier made the point, that the transport difficulties, may push the project to a vertically integrated model. With aluminium being the shipped product[less volume and weight for transport].
That would of course, require more local power.
The only concern I have with this view, is that it doesn't address the shortage of feedstock for smelters in China itself.

If you look at Bob's posts, he reminds us of Rio's interests in the area, that may make increased infrastructure more viable for the area.

As far as a the jorc is concerned, have that, then can start working on the rest of the project.
No reason why this couldn't be a 10 to 15 year project , still likely to be a good project if they pull it off.
The Sarco ipo prospectus[if it happens], will hopefully answer a lot of our questions.
All a bit opaque until then maybe.

    cheers
