if the aust govt were really lateral thinkers
they would be useing alumina refiners to proving the fresh water
as the vti basecon process cleans read mud and absorbs salt to some degree
however redmud doesnt not clean saline water as such , but could be used within the process to create a saline source of clean water , the excess salt could then be removed using othert processes

as for frank gnaman thats very old news

as for the nsw epa i agree they hold vti in contempt and are not impressed with patents
big business at work me thinks only my opinion though
