Assuming they are dairy farmers and they know good from bad cows, (the bad ones don't last long!) then it is just having their herd tested and removing (sell normally) the A1 cows. Depending on the number of A2 cows they had depends on the switch time. As they would have to buy or bred in more A2 cows
I have never yet met a farmer that won't try to grow something new if it means more money for them.
