Efforts to link Shabwa to Marib and declare the two governorates an official stronghold of the Brotherhood

"Reform" helps the organization create financial channels and a parallel economy for the central bank

    Al-Ayyam Newsroom:
Political sources revealed efforts by the Yemeni Reform Party to complete control of the Shabwa governorate and link it militarily and administratively to the Ma'rib Governorate, in preparation for declaring the two provinces an official stronghold of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen.
The sources confirmed that the scheme comes according to a regional vision adopted by the international organization of the Brotherhood and enjoys Turkish and Qatari support, noting that the group is working to create a parallel economy and new financial channels that work in parallel with the Central Bank of Yemen and provide the organization financially.

She drew attention to direct coordination with the Houthis with the aim of sharing the areas of control and re-arranging the ranks of the two groups militarily, likely to worsen the relationship between the Brotherhood in force in Yemeni legitimacy and the Arab alliance, which may lead to the declaration of an explicit alliance between the Houthis and the Brotherhood.
Human rights organizations monitored the escalation of violations in the Shabwa governorate after they invaded the Reform Party forces, the branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen, and the party began to implement a method of repression, intimidating opponents and managing areas with a security grip.

The crimes committed by the Brotherhood's militias in Shabwa varied between killing the demonstrators in cold blood, launching massive arrests and looting of public and private property, leading to the bulldozing of state institutions and the arbitrary dismissal of employees belonging to other political currents and replacing them with loyal elements.
According to eyewitnesses, Shabwa governorate witnessed a state of security chaos and the return of elements belonging to al-Qaeda, following the invasion of the governorate by the Brotherhood and the departure of the Shabwani elite, which was able to limit the activity of al-Qaeda in Shabwa during the last period.

And human rights activists in a number of Yemeni governorates controlled by the Islah Party, have observed the same methods in managing these liberated areas and the political and military mobilization of the Brotherhood, and tightening the screws on other political components.
Observers of the Yemeni affairs considered that the behavior of the Yemeni Brotherhood in the administration of some Yemeni governorates brings back to mind the way the Houthis manage the areas under their control, in terms of similarity of means, tools, political goals and agendas.

According to informed sources, the Brotherhood is exhausting the citizens by imposing various financial levies on them in order to finance their military, political and media activities, as illegal points collection royalties are spread over the trucks on the road between Jouf and Marib.

According to the London-based Arab newspaper yesterday, the Islah party is working to create a parallel economy and new financial channels that work in parallel with the Central Bank of Yemen and provide the organization financially and withholding a lot of state revenues and not supplying them to the Central Bank in Marib who faced demands to link it to the Central Bank in Aden by Former bank governor Hafez Mayyad, a sharp media attack by the Brotherhood's media in Yemen.

Many activists and human rights activists describe the governorates of Ma'rib, Al-Jawf and Taiz as closed governorates of the Islah party, where the Brotherhood controls the joints of the state's civil and military institutions, and those affiliated with other political currents are excluded from public office or used as fronts to implement the party's agenda.
And media and human rights reports spoke about the kidnapping and concealment of journalists and activists on social media sites, malicious issues in Marib as a result of their criticism of the performance of security institutions in the province or leaders in the army, or reference to financial and administrative corruption and political incursions.

Reports indicate the spread of secret prisons that are not affiliated with the Ministry of Interior in the governorates of Taiz, Marib, and Shabwa, where these prisons are supervised by security elements in the secret apparatus of the Brotherhood or influential tribal and security leaders, and former detainees were subjected to torture and ill-treatment in those prisons. That caused some of them to die, according to human and media reports.

Observers say that what reaches the media and is circulating on social media about the practices and violations practiced by the brothers of Yemen in their areas of control is the tip of the iceberg where many issues are hidden and hidden from the media.

The Taiz Governorate is at the top of the list of Brotherhood violations against political opponents, as factions and armed groups run by the Brotherhood security apparatus that carry out assassinations and assassinations of opponents of the Brotherhood project or military leaders who hinder the program to tighten control of Taiz governorate by the organization are deployed. Media reports revealed that Brotherhood leaders were directly involved in the series of assassinations, the most recent of which was the assassination of Brigadier Adnan Al Hammadi, the commander of the 35th Armored Brigade, Taiz, by recruiting some of his close associates and distributing funds to them.

Taiz witnessed a wave of organized looting by Brotherhood members, which terrorize civilians, loot public and private property, impose levies, and intimidate inside residential neighborhoods.
The practices of the Yemeni Brotherhood are accompanied by a systematic case of encroachment in the security institutions, the army, and the local authority, and the formation of armed units outside the framework of the law, then legitimizing their presence by creating new military units and brigades and including Brotherhood elements without them, and receiving funds from regional parties, including Qatar, to expand towards the southern governorates.

Yemeni human rights and media activists described the violations committed by the Muslim Brotherhood in their areas of control in Yemen against their opponents, as a repetition of the practices of the Houthi militia in the governorates it controls.
