@peff I know next to nothing about Biocartis but having done a quick internet read around, it looks like they bought out Philips RNA/DNA sensor range following some collaboration (note that Biomerieaux were in and out too).

These technologies look invaluable for infectious diseases diagnostics amongst other applications and overlap with Aussie companies like SpeedDx, having discussed this with ADO previously we don't seem to have as much to offer in this area since nucleic acids are naturally sticky and don't benefit much from our tech.

Essentially as far as I understand they're in a parallel space rather than a competitor or collaborator, although Biotech might be better placed to say more.
