bbi & us witholding tax

    I need you advice please....I bought shares in BBI via a discretionary trust a few months ago and in early July, I was forwarded US Withholding tax forms W-8IMY & W-8BEN....I forwarded these to my accountant and he was not sure what these meant..
    Are there any holders out there in a similar situation?
    My reasoning is that these forms are only applicable if some form of dividend/distribution is paid. Given the current situation since this is unlikely I have no reason to complete these?
    Any comments?
