you have to wonder why someone like CFS doesnt come in and take it over and then turn it into a institutional infra fund which they can the grow over time?
There hasnt been any real big fund manager transactions during this whole GFC, plenty of talk by banks etc on taking hold of opportunties but they have done nothing.
CFS back by CBA could lob an offer in at $0.15 on the provision that all the hybrids are converted into normal equity and then delist it.
im still wondering why someone like Macquarie hasnt done anything, is it because they are hoarding the cash and expect a second leg down?
there is value in BBI but retail investors wont get to participate because the guys with the access to cash will make the most.
