That is an excellent statement and would make alot of sence, they may have a take over offer or some asset sales to announce so for this to happen they need to consoult with the banks which explains the (unable to make an immediate annoucment) part of the explanation for the trading halt and proberly proceded with the trading halt a bit earlier to stop the chance of insider trading.
