I have some longs that I will never sell, I won't bother trying to pick tops and bottoms with them and trying to day trade. Only top up on particular opportunities in oversold territory on weekly/monthly timeframes and add to my position on good strong business'. Wesfarmers is one of those examples.
If you're looking to just exit longs when things go bad you're a speculator not an investor.
