I have used Reddit to get tips, but for every GME there is another bet that didn't pay off. Like the so called Silver Squeeze, AMC, etc. Reddit has 100s of stock tips so you just can't cherry pick the best ones to prove your point.

I will use Reddit to obtain tips and information but will look at other sources of information and seek others opinions and keep an open mind. Not shut off opinions because they are not the same as mine. In March I was in BBUS and doubled my investment in a few weeks and should have kept an open mind to others suggesting a rebound so I didn't lock in profits. But I learnt my lesson quickly, cut my losses and started investing again in growth stocks to make money again.

If you are young, I hope you enjoy your money and rather you have it then some hedge fund. Enjoy the ride up, I don't think any of us have seen gains like this before in the share market. Just be open to the idea there might be a correction or crash some time in the future so you can be open to the signs its time to take money off the table to protect your wealth. NASDAQ is a good recent example where there is a correction currently occurring after a massive run.

I appreciate your input in regards to alternative investments on this thread and as a result am diversifying into cryptocurrencies , but also appreciate those on here with contrarian views to balance the argument whether they have been right or wrong in the past.

Big agree to all your points in last two posts, important to hear everyone's perspective but no need to turn comments into actionable advice. Sometimes it can actually be a great gauge of market sentiment, hence why we have a fear and greed index for BTC. Generally when everyone turns to a bear the markets will turn, and when everyone is a blind bull we are due for some liquidations, which is what I think has been happening with the NASDAQ. One of the reasons I love the crypto market is it's much harder to make 'easy money' as you have to deal with 20-30% dips which will usually flush out all the new money, legacy markets can take a lot longer to do this. Happy for @jberry55 that he's back in the green though, hope you've enjoyed the ride so far!
