The decision to buy into BBUS or SNAS may be a bad decision depending on your timing and/ or period of holding the shares.
I know this from experience.
As I've said, I haven't done well at all in the past on BBUS, however, this is my first time purchasing BBUS or any other bear fund shares in almost a year.
I see this as a calculated decision, not gambling, as:
The VIX is at an extreme low, which history says it doesn't stay there long (reduced risk)
The SPX has filled a gap at a potential double top
The SPX has left many gaps behind that potentially may be filled on the way down
If you also look at the fundamentals, the question arises whether the overall economic outlook etc merit's a breakout of the SPX ATH.
