In short, l can’t answer which stocks because so much depends on what happens over the next 6-12 months with Covid.

It will become clearer once the impacts of Covid are better understood, company guidance returns, how governments continue to respond and which industries get oversold in the next leg down. How does this change human behaviour?

With interest rates likely to be 0% for sometime, l am keeping a close eye on the Mum and Dad favourites which historically provide good dividend returns and steady capital growth. These are also the darlings of superfunds. I’m in no rush but l will look to re-establish a position when it appears they are oversold to the point of de-risk.

Rather than trying to find the next Afterpay, l am more focused on establishing the foundations of a legacy portfolio, that l can derive income off through retirement and pass on. (I’m currently 40, so a little while yet to retirement).
