Studies done in this area are preliminary and not fully/appropriately peer-reviewed. That said, there is US NHS data showing the Virus does not survive as long in direct sunlight or in higher humidity. That does not mean it dies instantly, only that it dies more quickly @rogue2 and @8horse. There is many unknowns with this virus. “If” it dies more quickly in direct sunlight, then the virus will likely be less transmissible during summer. Time will tell. My personal view is that with 1M plus active cases as at May 8th, lower transmissibility, even if it happens, won’t stop a US 2nd wave come the Fall/Autumn.
