Yeh, perhaps @shwibble. However, they’ve been pumping it in fairly consistently for a decade now and the chartists predictions have generally held up better through that period than they have the last month or so
One idea I’ve been toying with, and I admit it’s a bit of a conspiracy theory, is that Trump has done some major league secret backhand deals with key market makers (JP Morgan, Blackrock, etc.) and he locked Powell into whatever deal he struck (Trump nominated/appointed Powell). Trump is a sneaky bugger. For me, the parallel of Trump in Australia is Alan Bond. Could you imagine were Australia would be if Bondy was PM in the 80’s/90’s?
Anyway, lots of speculation from Bears and Bulls on this thread. But here’s three facts both agree on; (1) Fed Liquidity CANNOT fix company insolvency (2) Governments nor Banks can force consumer demand (3) The Fed doesn’t do grants.
