I tell you what, you are spot on here. With The Federal Government topping up unemployment benefits, why would they want to go back to work? However that extra money looks unlikely to continue past July 31 as part of the CARES act, so unemployment payments will revert back to minimal funds from state governments.
i think there could be a bit of a perfect storm here, as that is right on reporting season for for the next quarter. Multiple bad reports from companies, coupled with high unemployment, might drive a bit of panic and the need for cash which could trigger that snowball effect.... and down she goes.....
