The video is an animated description of how the economy works. The first half is pretty basic, providing background for the second half which explains what options governments have to deal with a recession. They are:
* Cut spending (austerity)
* Reduce debt (by writing off)
* Redistribute wealth (rich to poor)
* Print money
Surprisingly, all except the third actually make the situation worse, but the third is what governments refuse to do. Recipe for long term problems.
