I discussed times with Betashares and was told anytime every day will work but 4:00 pm exactly (before match up) would be best for tracking. It's possible over a longer period like say a month it may average out to close to 2 times multiple based on current 200.1% gearing but they write that day and it's not even close over the past three days.

"For example, if the Fund's portfolio exposure is -230% (or -2.30x) and the S&P 500 Index goes down 1% that day, the Fund would be expected to go up approximately 2.30% that day, before fees and expenses."
