I’m mostly cash but taking a position in any quality reasonably-priced ASX micro caps I can find with potential in niche markets and that could thrive and be multi-baggers even in a bear market. AHL, BCT, MWR, IBX, 1AD so far. My only “speccies” held atm are MGT, CST. I have compiled long watch lists for when the market bottoms out but since we’ll only know that in hindsight I’m keeping an open mind about staying in cash or beginning the long-term accumulation process now. The dilemma for us position traders (i.e. primarily long-term investors) is that SPs of mid-large cap quality/blue chip coys generally follow the broader market which is led by the US, so it’s difficult to find “defensive” stocks that won’t be dragged down by what we think is an impending bear market cycle.
