received an email from AD, with a lot of points which lead MAK to be very confident that the OCP story is bogus.

Most of these points have been made here on these threads, and appear to be on the money.

Another is about demand growth, predicted by US fertiliser giant Mosaic, to be in the order of 2-4%. His oppinion was that at 2% there might be a supply surplus for a while from 2012, but only if all the wannanies, and include morocco made it to production. But at 3%, even with these, demand will dominate, and at 4%, forget it. He also commented that a talk from Mosaic in Perth recently, was his understanding that growth from the last two years has been at 5% each.

So, as said by others, cartel or not, IMO if demand outstrips supply, and with that freight advanctage, MAK will be producing a comodity with a strong regional demand.
