IOH did flag in announcements that they were looking at partners in the Bucklands mine project as well as partners for the port solution.
It would fit in the strategy of financially derisking projects by having a partner come in and fund the mine development for a % stake of the mine.
Either way the more capacity partners we have and who want to use Cape Preston (and the road that IOH is to build) as a transport solution allows the project to scale up to a 20mtpa operation (giving signifcant economies of scale beenfits to construction) and also attract infrastructure type investors.
