I’m thinking this lower price point promotion will work well on many fronts, one aspect some may not consider is there would be at any one time a number of hesitant buyers in the market thinking I want one but but expensive but doing this helps to flush a lot of them out and scoop them up. This has worked for me before coincidentally with a Garmin golf GPS, I was thinking about it for a while then saw a sale and went bang.

PS device was defective after one round and I got a refund and got a new bag.
