You should DYOR and not have a 'go to guy'. Jimmy Song's views just happen to be close to mine, particularly on his focus on monetary economics, however I have found some slight differences. Tone Vays has views more diverging to my own.
One point I do disagree with Jimmy on, is he believes the speculation frenzy last year was a bad thing, because people lost money and will now have extremely negative views on cryptocurrency. Many of these people will base this negative view on emotion, and be closed to logical arguments. I view this as a good thing, because they were bad actors speculating on things that they had no clue about (Emotional FOMO), and their malinvestment got them what they deserved.
If they continue to make decisions regarding their investments on emotion, rather than logic, it is likely they will continue to malinvest, to the detriment of their own well-being. Those that truly learn their lesson, will make future investment decisions based on logic and research, and many may become better off by doing so.
