I'm no expert on water evaporation, nor am I an industrial chemist, Hopefully1, but I do know for fact that fresh water evaporates quicker than salt water, due to the salt in the salt water.
Therefore, if BCI are trying to tell us that the sea water they will eventually be pumping has increased salinity, then I would assumed that, based on the fact above, this will make the evaporation process at Mardie longer, due to the 'higher salinity of primary seawater intake'.
But I'm happy to be corrected on this.
It would be nice if the company was able to definitively prove this either way, and advise the production loss, so I can adjust my numbers for the project - down from 5.35mtpa.
