@mansell57 suggest you check out the Compliance Report on the BCI website - https://www.bciminerals.com.au/sustainability/environmental-protection.html , about two thirds of the way down the page - "Annual Compliance Report".
The most recent report (for the Feb 2023/Feb 2024 period) was put up in May this year and signed off by Shaun Meredith who appears to be BCI's savior in all things Approvals and Government Relations.
The first report was for the 2022/2023 period.
These annual reports are conditions of the original MS1175 approvals and must be published annually and posted to the company website.
During that period they had 4x 'Non-compliances'. Suspect the one/s you may be talking about are related either to the 'vegetation clearing incident' in May 2023 or the 'pumping seawater' incident/s in Dec 2023.
Clearly, these breaches would not have 'sped up' the approvals process........
Shaun Meredith is certainly earning his salary......
