It has been great to team up withMonitelat our Mardie Salt and Potash Project, setting up 74 state-of-the-art groundwater sensors across the project site.
Why all the fuss? Because of the complexity of groundwater at the site (the tides play havoc!), we have set up a state-of-the-art monitoring network that measures groundwater every hour, and sends the information back to our data scientists in Perth via a digital platform to determine if there have been any changes in:
Water Levels - Measuring how deep the water is and how high it’s rising.
Salinity - Checking the saltiness level to keep our water in check.
By understanding and managing our groundwater with this cutting-edge technology, we’re not just protecting important habitats, we’re ensuring our project meets top-notch environmental standards.
