So presumably the bright spots on Cassandra's image are the brine inlet and outlets you're describing. I can't recall if I saw the video or not, certainly can't remember the content!
The darker area, might be asphalt, looks like it appears at the end of November, but I think it's probably the pipes as it follows the alignment of the channel rather than the road.
Blue for water, red for traffic?
