Actually, upon further investigation, I am now inclined to believe that this is from rain; blue shading is the false water / land representation from https://eos.com/landviewer/?lat=-21.27293&lng=115.95575&z=12
The slightest of slopes would have allowed the water to naturally settle in the western end (closest to the ocean) and it is likely to only be a few mm / cm deep.
