BCL mine workers concerned about their jobs

While BCL mine in Selibe Phikwe has remained mum about the extent of the financial crisis the company is facing, some employees have expressed apprehension about the security of their jobs.
A BCL employee told **z FM news that scores of employees are taking it one day at a time, with fear mounting that the Copper/ Nickel giant may cut its workforce any time.
He said the recent closure and job losses at Mowana mine have added pressure to BCL employees.
Government has also not revealed any plans to bail out the mine.
BCL management has cited a fall in metal prices and the prolonged shutdown of its smelter, as the two main sources of the financial trouble.
